Cyan is 18 months. I can't believe how time flys. We have been busy this summer enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. Cyan and I went to Canada but I don't have any photos yet. The whole family went to zion for Memorial Weekend and it was Keiths birthday. We hike the Emerald Pools and the hike after the tunnel. We hit up Tropic Res with the Jones family and hiked in Bryce. We also went to Wyoming for my family reunion. Cy has molars up top and below coming in. She is handling it well. She hasn't added many words but is making lots of new sounds. She even signs to us a little. The last photo is one of my mom and I.

We are ready for Christmas!!!! We can't wait for are family to come and get to spend Cyan's 1st Christmas with us. She has been so much fun with her adorable personality. She is almost running now and I am starting to understand her little noises.

Cyan got to meet Santa twice all ready this year! I think that means she gets two gifts from him and Miss Clause. She loved both Jubilee of Trees and Dickens Festival. She did so good, but once we sat to have a bite to eat she wanted out of her stroller to walk around herself. Santa was a lot happier at the Dickens Festival he even dressed up for some pictures. He seemed not to much in the spirit of Christmas at the Jubilee of Trees. Cyan had dressed up for him and everything, but I guess sometimes we all have bad days.

My Aunt Linda is a big fan of Elmo so we had to make sure and get a photo of the Elmo tree. It was pretty neat.

Cyan is walking! She loves to hide toys under anything she can put them. She likes to take the dogs ball, and throw it up in the air. She has found her tongue, and makes a smacking/sucking sound with it. She will go up to Jazzabell, and open her mouth for kisses. She uses her pointer finger to touch, and test out everything before she feels okay to grab it. She won't hold her bottle, but will hold a sippy cup. She does not like being strapped into anything for long. She is just way to hyper, and want's to be moving all the time.

Cyan is a Tooth Fairy for her 1st Halloween. She has taken 4 steps all on her own. She is happy to crawl though and is getting super fast. She is also opening cabinets so we are getting ready to child proof them. What a pain that is going to be.

My baby girl is standing on her own. She is so adorable I love this stage. I hope she chills for awhile. I am not ready for her to walk. She says bababa a lot. She is sleeping through the night finally. She was still wanting to eat around 3:30, and all of a sudden she started waking up 4 times a night for no reason and crying. We decided it was time to let her cry it out because we just could not handle waking up anymore. It took 5 nights and each night she cried less and less. I am so happy we finally did it.

My sister got married at her house in Northern Washington. Dave is a wonderful guy and we are so happy to have him in are family. His son Adam played the guitar, his other son Tyler sung with Dave's sister. It was beautiful we all cried. It was a great trip I can't wait to go back.

Cyan got her two front teeth on my birthday 8/26. She also can pull herself up and stand. So thats about all she does up,down,up,down, and giggles she is so proud of herself. She was so happy she could pull herself up on the laundry basket and pull something out.

Lets see she is moving all over the place. Still doing the worm, but almost crawling. Cy loves to sit and grab my hands to help pull herself up so she can stand. She starts laughing once she is up like look at me mom I did it. Then I let her try and walk and she does really good I think she will walk early. Her Mohawk is growing but the rest of her hair is about the same. She likes her oatmeal now in the morning, but she always wants a taste of what I am eating. She smiles and giggles a lot of the time, but she is stubborn. If I take something away or she can't get to something she gets mad and screams. She is still not into cuddling she would rather sleep in her crib then with me. She is super hyper just like her dad. She weighed 15.9 pounds at her 6 month check up and I would say she has gained probably weighing 16.5 now. I am loving being a mom and look forward to each day. I know time is going to fly and soon we will be celebrating her first birthday.

Summer has been super busy for us we are headed to Wyo in a couple of weeks, then off to Seattle to see my sister and then Texas for my best friends wedding. My my my how she grows..... I watch her closely, and she changes so much each week. She is reaching and grabbing for everything. She has started to watch me eat, and follows everything I put into my mouth. Curious about what I am doing, she will follow me with her eyes as I walk around the house. Cyans laugh is so adorable. She giggles at everything. She wants all the attention, loves to scream to get it, and gets upset if you don't give in. She has found her feet and loves them. I love you little one.

My grandmother got to meet Cyan when I went to Casper to see my mom. She had just got home from the stem cell transplant. My grandmother as Alzheimer's, but I was just so happy she held her and smiled. She kept pointing and saying she's cute! Cyan also got to meet her great Aunt Linda, see her Great Aunt Sue and meet some of my old friends from high school.

By the way my mom is doing awesome and getting stronger everyday. She gets to travel here April 24th and is going to stay 3 weeks while Keith has a total knee replacement. I am so glad her Doctor said it was okay I don't know what I would have done without her during this time. I also want to thank those of you who have been around Keith lately he is really stressed out and just needs to have this surgery over with. He has not been himself and I am sure he is a little short tempered. So thanks again for understanding and being patient with him.

She totally follows me with her eyes and head. She even gets upset sometimes when I walk away and then starts laughing when I come back. I think it's cute, but hope it's not something she clings to if you know what I mean.

Cyan is wearing her My heart belongs to daddy outfit and enjoying her crib! She has her guardian elephant my BF Judy from Texas gave her when she came to visit last week. She is 7 weeks or 50 days old today. She is sleeping 8/9pm to 5/7am which is great thanks to the Ferber method. She smiles at my voice and is starting to coo a little and not just cry! She loves her paci and her swing. I believe her 2 month Dr appt is coming up and shots yuk! I hope this goes okay. I also start back to work March 11th just two days a week until April though it well be a nice slow return. I do have to say I am looking forward to it. I wish I could work part time it would be so nice to get to spend this time with Cyan, but money is such an important thing we must have. :(

I only get to spend 1 hour every 3/4 hours with Cyan since she is under the lights. This morning she came in at 6 and was just so happy to see me. She is all ready showing her personality. Nurses say she is a spitfire. She is happy but if she does not like something man does she voice it. She is sensitive to her surrondings and does not like lots of stimuli. We have noticed she likes it quite and mellow. She also loves to just stare at you all intense and evens follows me with her head.

My Labor story

Thursday I got the phone call to head into Labor and Delivery at 5pm. They start the Cytotec pills at 6. Within 2 hours I was cramping and labor was starting to get more intense. 8pm I was in active labor having contractions every 3/5 minutes lasting 30 sec to 1 min. At 9:12pm I was laying in bed and my water broke. So they hooked up the Pitocen. 10pm full hard core contractions and dilated a 2. From 10pm to 12pm I was hating life. It was so hard to labor with monitors and being stuck in bed. I only wished I could have been at home, able to take a shower, get in the tube, change positions and just try some other things. I was only allowed to get out of bed to go to the bathroom and move around for 15 minutes. That just does not work. So at 12pm I asked for the epidural and it was done by 12:30pm. I was dilated a 3 at this point. 2am dilated a 4 and drip slowed because contractions where clustering together like 3-4 one right after the other. They would not give Cyan enough time to recover and her heart rate would drop. 4am no change, but Cyan doing better so drip back on. This whole process of turning the drip on and off continues my dilation slows down and around noon the next day I am only a 6. Cyan's heart rate has dropped almost to 60 twice so they have me sign a consent for a c-section. Doctor Astle was really trying everything to help me progress and not have to follow through with the c-section. Doctor checks her at 4pm and I am dilated 8 but then he also notice's she is sunny side up I think that's what they call it. I guess it takes like up to 3 hours to push a baby in this position and it's harder on the baby this way. So he gives us one last option and rolls me on my stomach to try and flip her and turns up the drugs just a little. 5:oo pm her heart rate is dropping so he checks me and nothing has changed. So I have been in labor 24 hours. My water has been broken for 20 hours and the risk of infection is bad after 24 hours. I no longer have a choice so I am off to have a c-section. Beautiful Cyan is born at 6:30pm.

Today is my last day of work. I am headed to the hospital this evening to be induced! So Cyan should arrive Friday sometime. I am thinking in the afternoon. I hope she doesn't take much longer than that. I would love to go home friday night and not have to stay another night. I am so anxious and my mind is just racing today. I can't wait for her to be in my arms we have waited so long for this moment:)

My family came to visit this week so I had to get in for an Ultrasound. 3RD trimester count down starting today. I am sooo excited. Mom my seems to be doing great considering the chemo treatments. She was able to golf 3 times this week, and she had a good time. I hate that she has to go back to Casper for a wicked treatment. It's a 3 day treatment with one night in the hospital, she will get through another, and hopefully won't need too many more.

Jen invited me up with her family to Lake Powell. We had a great time the weather was great. Keith got stuck at home with Jury Duty and a yard to finish. We hung out, went boating, and played on the jet skies it was a blast. I had to with hold from some of the fun things though I was a little nervous being pregnant and getting hurt in anyway. It's crazy because before I would never have thought twice.

Keith and I have been working on her room for 3 weekends. We are very happy with it. Keith built a new closet including door/jam and closet system. We painted everything and put carpet in. I can't believe the difference from the old room. Now we just need the decor but that will have to wait tell Sept. I plan to have this all done by the end of Oct so we will see if that happens.

I headed to Vegas to spend some time with my mom. She was there with some friends golfing and gambling. We went to see KA. We loved it. I spent my 2 days by the pool while my mom golfed. It was so nice to see her since it had been since Christmas.

We had a good time watching the game. It was such a good game so close. I was glad my team won. I even made sure everybody had there 3d glasses on for the commercial. Don't we all look so cute?

I got a great laugh when I saw these. I got strip throat a few weeks back and was really sick. I went to the instacare on thursday and Dr. Carter gave me antibiotics. The only problem was they never worked so 4 days of not eating, drinking, and a temp of 102 I felt and like death. I went back to the instacare and got a shot of penicillin. I went back the next morning because I was in so much pain and dehydrated. So lovely Dr. Davie hooked me up to a IV and gave me some Vitamins and pain killer. He was even so nice to let me go home with the IV since he wanted two of them each IV takes about 45min to 1hr so I would have been there for 2hrs. Everyone I'm sure knows when your sick the only thing you want is to be home in your own bed. So anyway I got to go home thanks so much Dr. Davie. He was awesome and so sweet. I started feeling better about 12hrs after the p-shot. So all in all 6 days of laying in bed. Yuk

I have been asked by family to post new pics of my landscape project that Keith and I started in March. We just recently finished and are more than happy. I have to say I planned the whole project from which plants down to the way they pored the concrete patio. I am so pleased with the end project. We are also so happy with are choice in paint. We were a little worried at first but I just new it would make the house stand out so much more. Plus I wanted to bring out the color in the stone on the house. It worked!!!!!

My only complaints would be the 4 months it took to get flood insurance what a hassle. We had to have it in order to get the home equity loan and it was like running in a circle. I hate insurance and hate the company that Wells Fargo uses they suck I don't recommend them at all. I don't use the word hate often, but it is the truth after dealing with the crap they put us through. All in all I am enjoying are patio more than ever.

I just want to thank my family for the wonderful week in Casper, Wyo. I enjoyed my stay and hated leaving back to work. The weather was super cool, so that was a blessing. I needed some time away from the Heat.
I want to say sorry to my husband for not being here on are 6 yr anniversary. He was such a sweet heart for not being mad. Sherry's wedding was on are anniversary so I had to leave him in St George. I think you are a wonderful man! Thank You for all the things you do for me.

We kicked back play in dice at my moms house. We also BBQ some good food. The Olympics were on all week so it was hard not to stay glued to the TV. We all where trained on Philips winning his 8 medals. He was amazing.

I also got lots of time to chill with my "Step sister n law and her daughter." It is easier to just say sis and niece if u ask me. We are great friends and I hate that she lives so far away from me. We hung out almost every night playing dice or just hanging out with my mom.

My Best Friend Sherry got married on Aug 16, 2008. Congrats Girlfriend. We have known eachother since 1st grade believe it or not. She married her highschool sweet heart Angelo. Her dress was unbelievable!

Happy Birthday sis and Jen. We celebrated there birthdays at Fish Lake camping and fishing. It was sooooo much fun. It was great having my sister there this year. We did not catch any fish I could not believe it. They where so deep and I think we need to learn from a pro how to fish at such deep levels. The weather was great. It was nice to get out of the heat in St. George.
